What We Can’t Accept

At Mr Metal Recycling, we strive to provide comprehensive metal recycling services, but there are certain materials that we currently cannot accept. Proper disposal of these items is crucial for safety and environmental protection, so please take note of the following list of items that we cannot recycle:

TVs: Unfortunately, we cannot process televisions at this time. Please check with local recycling centres for options.

Monitors: While we accept certain e-waste, monitors are currently not part of our recycling program.

We’re committed to safe and responsible recycling, so it’s important that these materials are handled properly. If you have items on this list, we encourage you to seek out appropriate disposal methods to ensure environmental safety. For more information or to ask about specific items, please complete the form on this page. Our team is here to help guide you to the right resources.

General Waste/Rubbish: We specialise in metal and e-waste recycling, so general waste should be handled by your local waste management services.

Glass: Glass materials are not accepted in our recycling program. Please recycle these items through designated glass recycling facilities.

Gas Cylinders from BBQs or Other: Due to safety concerns, we cannot accept gas cylinders. Proper disposal options should be pursued through hazardous waste programs.

Car Tyres: Tyres are not part of our recycling program. Contact a local tyre recycling facility for proper disposal.

Corrosives, Explosives, Poisons, Radioactive Waste: These hazardous materials pose significant risks and are not accepted at Mr Metal Recycling. They should be disposed of according to local hazardous waste guidelines.

Asbestos: We do not handle asbestos due to its hazardous nature. Specialised asbestos removal services should be contacted for proper disposal.

CFCs (Chlorofluorocarbons): Commonly found in older refrigeration units, CFCs are harmful to the environment and are not accepted. Please contact a specialised service for disposal.

Fuel, Oil, Unclean Drums: These items are not accepted due to their potential to contaminate other recyclable materials. Proper disposal should be arranged through hazardous waste facilities.

Flammable Liquids: Safety concerns prevent us from accepting flammable liquids. Please dispose of these through appropriate channels.

Dried or unfinished paint and varnish tin: We can’t accept these, please seek out a LGA council chemical disposal process for these
